Think of Benny
Goodman with his Quartet or Artie Shaw with his Gramercy
Five. We play Clarinet Jazz/Swing in the old style way
with the energy and entertainment value of the first half of
the 1900's. Sing along to old songs, or new songs for
the children. We give you an acoustical sound that
pleases young and old alike and is perfect for every setting.
We played for 17 years on Sundays at
Kozlak's Royal Oaks Restaurant in Shoreview Minnesota, but that is now closed.

Fred Richardson
Fred
Richardson leads the organization with a cheerful and
energetic clarinet sound and crisp clean vocals. He has
played clarinet, sax, and flute for numerous local Twin Cities
bands and across the United States as a member of touring
groups and on the Delta Queen Steamboat out of New Orleans.Currently working as
the clarinet player in the Barbary Coast Show Band. In
desperation he will also double on banjo or string bass.

Dave McCurdy
Recently
retired Professor of Anthropology at Macalester College in St.
Paul, Dave plays guitar for the Fred Richardson Trio. He is
also equally talented at banjo and piano, which he has played
with many local Twin Cities groups and also in New Orleans
during the French Quarter Jazz Festival.

Pat Schmid
Plays string
bass for the Fred Richardson Trio Sundays at Kozlak's Royal
Oaks in Shoreview. He has worked with many of the great bands
in the Twin Cities including the Wolverines Classic Jazz
Orchestra, Barbary Coast Banjo Brass, and numerous shows.
Dedicated to live acoustic string bass, he also plays electric
and Tuba and teaches young students to play at Bud's Music in
Hopkins.
